چکیده :
This paper is a brief report based on 25 years of working experience of a Geospatial expert in GIS. The paper explains the process of spatial data acquisition, capturing, analysis, manipulation, storing in a database, and providing data for users that are a routine job for a GIS department. The main aspect of this paper is to bring the readers inside a GIS department workplace with giving the real examples and explains how the spatial data and their attributes will be processed in a GIS department. Another aspect of this paper is to fill the gap between the research and the implementation with providing real examples.
